Online Lessons
Live, Instructor-Led Piano Lessons Online
For Adults, Teens, and Children (typically ages 7+)
Effective, Personal, and Convenient
More and more students began requesting virtual lessons as a result of the pandemic, and I came to realize that virtual lessons offer the same quality of traditional, in-person lessons, with several added benefits:
Why Virtual Lessons?
- Learn from the comfort of your own home, which reduces anxiety and supports faster progress
- Eliminate time spent traveling to and from lessons = more practice time
- Play your own familiar instrument at lessons
- Both teacher and student sit at a full piano, which makes demonstrations easy
- Ability to record your online music lesson for later replay to review forgotten points
Multiple camera angles provide clear views of myself, the sheet music, and the keys (from both the side and from above), so students have a complete view of the concept or technique being discussed.
I use Zoom, which is free for students and accessible on any device with audio and video capabilities.
Your setup is simple: Your device (laptop, tablet, phone, etc.) is positioned to the right of your piano or keyboard with a view spanning your face to the keys. I email you a Zoom link shortly before the lesson, which takes you directly to the lesson where I will be waiting. It's simple and easy.
Virtual Lessons Cover the Following 5 Core Areas of Piano:
> Technique
> Music Theory
> Sight Reading
> Ear Training
> Repertoire
Additional Offerings (at no extra cost):
- Preparation for the National Piano Guild Audition
- Multiple Styles of music to learn (Classical, Jazz, Pop, New Age, and more)
- Guidance in learning the songs YOU love
- Coaching for doing your own arranging and songwriting
- Custom learning plan tailored to your personal goals
- Customized, streamlined practice plan to help you stay on track each week
Lessons can be as rigorous or as relaxed as you would like them to be. Whether you are looking for an accelerated program to prepare for graded exams and auditions, or wanting to play for personal enjoyment (or anything in between), I can help you get there.
